Scholarships | Maranatha Christian Writers' Conference

Scholarships

We want to do everything we can to make it possible for Christian writers to attend this dynamic conference, and since many who want to  attend have limited finances, we offer a limited number of scholarships.

Full scholarships are funded by the Cecil Murphey Scholarship Fund. With deep gratitude we announce scholarships provided by New York Times bestelling author, Cecil Murphey. Cec has taught several times over the years at Maranatha Christian Writers’ Conference. When Cec began writing professionally, he made a double promise to God: (1) He would never stop learning, and (2) He would do whatever her could to help other writers. Providing scholarships is one way Cec helps other writers, and we are grateful he is supporting the Maranatha Christian Writers’ Conference. [You can read more about Cecil Murphey, and his bestselling books including New York Times bestseller 90 Minutes in Heaven, at www.cecilmurphey.com. Also, enjoy his blog for writers at www.cecwritertowriter.com. All book royalties go into his nonprofit corporation, Omore Taya.] Cecil Murphey Scholarship Fund scholarships are reserved for conferees with legitimate financial needs who would otherwise be unable to attend. They cover full tuition, lodging, and meals, based on double occupancy rate.

Partial scholarships are made possible by the generous donations of those who believe in the power of books to change lives and the value of preparing and guiding Christian writers to exercise their gifts. Partial scholarships are reserved for conferees with legitimate financial needs who would otherwise be unable to attend. Not all partial scholarships will be for the same amount and they may cover all or part of tuition, but recipients will be responsible for the cost of food and lodging.

Please note that scholarships and discounts cannot be combined. Also, scholarships are available to full-time registrants only.

Who is eligible to apply? Scholarships are reserved for conferees with legitimate financial needs who would otherwise be unable to attend. Applicants are invited to complete our MCWC 2014 Scholarship Application. Recipients and amounts of scholarships will be selected by our scholarship team, and all information will be kept confidential.  You will be notified of award or decline by our scholarship team.

If interested, please complete our MCWC 2014 Scholarship Application.

Questions may be addressed to info@maranathachristianwriters.com.

Deadline for scholarship applications is September 1, 2014.

Are you able to contribute to our scholarship fund? If your financial situation allows you to contribute to our scholarship fund, we  encourage you to do so. In the many years that this conference has been offered, there have been many conferees who would not have been able to attend except that someone gave freely to provide scholarships.
